Stewardship of information

Privacy

Guardians of Honor collects information needed to receive and review inquiries, administer member accounts, protect the service, and communicate with people who have entered the founding process.

Inquiry Information

The Begin form may collect your name, email address, phone number, age, written answers, submission address or proxy information, browser information, and submission time.

The rebuilt Begin form does not collect a password and does not automatically create a member account.

How Inquiry Information Is Used

  • To receive and deliberately review your inquiry.
  • To determine appropriate next steps in the founding membership process.
  • To contact you about your inquiry when needed.
  • To protect the site from spam, abuse, and unauthorized use.

Member Accounts

Member authentication is maintained separately from public inquiry submission. Existing founding accounts are being preserved during the rebuild, and future accounts are intended to be created through deliberate administration rather than automatically from the public form.

Who Can Access It

Inquiry information is intended for administrators responsible for reviewing applicants and maintaining the member system. It is not intended for public display.

Passwords and Sessions

Passwords are stored as password hashes rather than plain text. Login sessions are used to keep authenticated members signed in and to enforce protected access.

Removal and Retention

If you want your inquiry or account removed, contact an administrator and request removal. Some records may need to be retained for a limited period when reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal obligations, or administrative reconciliation.

Founding-Stage Notice

This privacy notice describes the present rebuilt system. It will be revised when new member communication, governance, chapter, or administrative features materially change what information is collected or how it is used.
